Remarks: This is one of many of the 1/32 decal sheets from superscale with a option for the F/A-18A Hornet. But the problem is, there is no 1/32 F/A-18A Hornet kit available, you either have to backdate the excellent Academy F/A-18C to a A version, or you have to update the older Hasegawa kit to a real A, since that the Hasegawa kit (and the Revell kit too) are prototypes. In Detail and Scale 6 F-18 Hornet Part 1, is explained how to convert the Prototype kits to a production version.
The Decals are not the most colourful options you will find, but they are nice.
There is no stenceling or national insignia's included on this sheet. The instructions are simple and clear, typical for superscale sheets. Option 1 is for a C version from CVW-17 on the Saratoga during 1991-1992. This option has a mistake with the BuNo. 163477 was the replacement aircraft for the 403 Modex, after the first one was lost during combat on January 17 1991. The correct BuNo for the CAG bird is 163470, which is easy to resolve.
The second option is for a F/A-18A from CVW-8 on the Theodore Roosevelt, during 1991. the only mistake in this option is like on option 1, the BuNo. The 400 CAG bird has BuNo 163117. 163107 belongs to 411. this mistake is also easy to resolve.
