This Hasegawa Release of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb is very good, the original moulds are pretty old but are of Hasegawa's high standards. The kit features a combination of very fine raised panel lines and details as well as some recessed detail. The moulds are still excellent with almost no flesh at all. Within the sprues there are options for 2 types of propellers, normal or clipped wings, slipper-tank and a pilot figure is included. The cockpit is nicely details and will end up in a nice replica. The overall detail of the airframe is pretty good.
There are decal options for 2 aircraft included in this kit.
There are enough aftermarket products available for this kit, including several decal sheets, photo etched and resin cockpit and exterior detail sets as well as some conversions (C wing from airwaves, and Paragon had some conversions for other marks.
This kit can be build straight out of the box with maybe a little extra work in the cockpit area into a descent replica of this world war II legend.
