The construction starts with the cockpit and the forward fuselage. Interieur for the camera bay is included. don't forget to paint the inner fuselage black. After closing up the fuselage the building proces continues with the rear fuselage. Here you need to open some holes, of which is 1 for option 1 and 2 and 1 for option 2 only, you also need to remove the upper pitot tube on the vertical tail. Next are the tailplanes, fincap airintakes and the front fuselage is combined with the back. You need to open the holes on the wings for the fuel tanks and the underwing stores. Before you place the wing section under the fuselage the engines are added. The canopy can be build opened or closed, here are also different types of rearview mirrors for version 2 and versions 1 and 3. Next is the highly detailed landing gear and finaly the fueltanks, underwing stores and the last small bits including inserts instead of sparrows. The launcing rails for sidewinder missles are included, but no sidewinders, these need to be obtained from the Hasegawa weaponsets.
Three decal options are included, The first two are camouflaged in the two tone gray paintscheme. The first one is from the 38th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, 26th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing, US Air Force Europe, and the second is for the 106th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, 117th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing Alabamba Air National Guard. The Final option is for a aircraft from the 15th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, 18th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing, Pacific Air Force. This aircrsft is camouflaged in the three tone gray/green wrap around scheme. This aircraft has a oriental type of gate on the tail with the code ZZ and a lightning bolt in between them.
This is just another excellent Phantom release from Hasegawa with three simple, but nice decal options included. It is certainly well worth the money!
